Luwafu

Jon spent the day at Luwafu with Paul Ssemwanga. Here he met the students who
remained at the school for reports (similarly to the other schools across Uganda, most
students had returned home while reports were written due to the high costs of food).
Jon was able to hand out the student reports and also to visit the health centre which
was built on church land. The health centre is run by Betty, a nurse who has attended
online Dunamis sessions since the start of the pandemic. The clinic is doing very well.

Both Kalasa and Luwafu serve very poor areas,
and choose to prioritise children who could not
otherwise afford schooling. This means that they
often struggle to feed the children as they take in
very little money.
Please pray that their crops are successful and
that the price of food in the area begins to
decrease.
